Al has photographed with all manner of equipment, starting with a Kodak Hawkeye, Medium Format Twin Lens Reflex and ultimately Al enjoys using digital equipment.

He has a broad base of subject matter, with everything from scenes on an aircraft carrier in the South Pacific and the Orient; to Portraiture, Weddings, Landscape, and Travel throughout the US and CANADA.

Having retired from Aerospace and Microelectronics, Al now devotes most of his time to photographing Travel and Landscapes.

A very close friend and a great outdoor photographer taught Al the following lesson through example: "DON'T JUST PHOTOGRAPH WHILE YOU TRAVEL, BUT TRAVEL to PHOTOGRAPH." He also believes that one should "LEARN YOUR CRAFT and THEN PRODUCE THE BEST IMAGE YOU CAN and, BY ALL MEANS, NEVER STOP LEARNING."
