Scott Robert Harvey was born in 1957 in Fulton, New York. He spent most of his youth growing up in New Mexico, Georgia and Kansas. Over the past five years, he lived near Dallas, Texas, and moved to the Reno area in December of 2000.

Mr. Harvey first exhibited and sold paintings at the Chautauqua Exhibition of American Art at the age of 12. He was a charter member of the Kansas Academy of Oil Painters, founded in 1986.

He has exhibited frequently in the National Small Oil Painting Exhibition, and is represented by the Southwest Gallery of Fine Art in Dallas.
